Sapa

Romantic getaway at Viettrekking Sapa

During our time in Vietnam, we mostly opted for simple accommodations, but when we reached Sapa, we decided to pamper ourselves a bit. We enjoyed a romantic getaway at Viettrekking Sapa, surrounded by the mesmerizing scenery of Sapa. It turned out to be everything we hoped for and more! Join us as we recount our fantastic stay at Viettrekking Sapa.

Plus, their restaurant and coffee bar also treat guests to stunning scenery. What more could you ask for? 😍 Sipping on an amazing homemade ice tea whilst overlooking the mountains… just a dream!

Mountain View Double Room

Mountain View Double Room

We booked a Mountain View Double Room for a two-night stay via Agoda. Our room was large and offered breathtaking views of the mountains, rice terraces, and even the passing funicular! The room had a big comfy bed, a table with a chair and beanbag, plus a makeup table! We were thrilled to find all the essentials like bathrobes, slippers, razors, toothbrushes, and a stocked minibar with soft drinks and snacks (although not complimentary).

But the absolute highlight of our stay? The bathroom! It was luxurious and spacious, boasting both a shower and bathtub. The bathtub was positioned right by the window, offering incredible views. We enjoyed several baths, which brought a touch of romance to our stay! This was definitely the best place we stayed at during our trip to Vietnam.

Our thoughts on Viettrekking Sapa

As we mentioned, Viettrekking Sapa was our favorite accommodation of our Vietnam trip. We loved it so much that we ended up spending most of our time there instead of exploring Sapa. 😳 Since we only booked basic accommodations elsewhere in Vietnam, we wanted to fully enjoy this luxurious place for once. We relaxed by the pool, savored multiple coffees with a stunning view at the coffee bar, and enjoyed several baths. The spacious, comfy bath and beautiful bathroom were such treats! We highly recommend Viettrekking Sapa for anyone seeking a romantic getaway in Sapa. In fact, we recommended Viettrekking Sapa to one of the many friends we made along the way of our world trip. As a result, one British couple already stayed there because of us! Talk about putting your money where your mouth is. 😉

Now, let’s talk about the price. We paid € 245 for a two-night stay, which included breakfast. You can definitely find cheaper rooms at Viettrekking Sapa if you opt for a room without a view, but we felt the extra cost was worth it for the breathtaking scenery! Our stay at Viettrekking Sapa was a highlight of our Vietnam trip, and we’d gladly do it again. It’s the perfect spot for couples! However, for backpackers just looking for a place to crash without the frills, there might be more budget-friendly options available.

The only downside at Viettrekking Sapa was the restaurant. The food was disappointingly bland during our lunch there, we don’t know what happened. It lacked the spicy kick we’re used to in Vietnamese cuisine. Thankfully, the coffee bar was a delightful surprise, serving delicious coffee and pastries with an unbeatable view!
