Bliss Riad
We came across Bliss Riad on Airbnb and were immediately sold by the minimalistic, bohemian interior. This riad truly embraces the culture of Morocco with their design. Bliss Riad is located in the heart of the Medina, a few steps from Le Jardin Secret. Everything was within walking distance, which is a big advantage!
Compared to other riads, Bliss Riad is a rather big riad. The riad has 9 guest rooms, including 3 suites, 3 deluxe rooms and 3 comfort rooms. Whether you go for the suite or the comfort rooms, they are all very spacious and have their own unique designs and furniture. The riad even has an in-house beauty spa!
The thing we love the most, is the lovely rooftop terrace with a panoramic view. It has a little pool, some sunbeds and a beautiful rain shower. Everything you need to peacefully enjoy the sunny days of Marrakech. When you’re up there, you can’t hear the noise of the busy streets below you, you would think you’re in some kind of remote resort!
The staff are also worth mentioning. Everybody was super friendly and helpful and made sure that we had a wonderful stay. When arriving they immediately provided us with some traditional Moroccan mint tea. Bliss Riad also has a reception. This is very handy if you need something like local recommendations, transport, reservations for restaurants,… They offer you a personal service, which we really appreciate. As mentioned before, they even have transportation services. Riad Bliss arranged our airport transportation for a small additional cost. It was no problem for them at all that we had a return flight at 4 in the morning on the Moroccan Independence Day. Great service!
Breakfast
It is also possible to have breakfast on the rooftop terrace. Since we were exploring the city most of the time, we only had breakfast once at our riad. We were pleasantly surprised, for only € 5 per person you get orange juice, mint tea, yoghurt, Moroccan bread, peanut butter and so much more. It was a nice, extensive breakfast with local products, which we do really value.
Our thoughts on Bliss Riad
We paid around € 80 per night (for 7 nights). This is a very reasonable price, we absolutely loved every single thing in Bliss Riad and we would definitely come back! Whether you’re sipping mint tea in the courtyard or exploring the vibrant souks nearby, Bliss Riad is the perfect base to explore the vibrant city of Marrakech.
